Hello,
I'm back!
A couple of weeks ago me and the fam set off on a two week long Canadian roadtrip. Our route started in Vancouver, and incorporated Victoria, Tofino, Whistler, Clearwater, Jasper, Canmore, Kelowna and ended once again in Vancouver.
I won't bore you with the ins and outs of the trip or my holiday photos, I am aware of how dull that can be, so I'll leave you with a couple of favourites!
My fave places were undoubtably Vancouver, Tofino and Canmore, all very different in location and feel. Saying that, I enjoyed all places (apart from Clearwater), how would I best summarise Clearwater? I would say only live there if you really, really, really hate people, civilisation or any part of the modern world. There was no wifi, mobile phone signal, shops or any town larger than an English village for a 5 hour drive. Nightmare.
Anyway, enough of my whining, Vancouver was an absolute fave, such a beautiful city. So unique in its feel, never been in such a quiet, large city. I fell in love with the place, mostly because you can ski AND swim in the sea in the same day, perfection.
Tofino was another fave, a long drive from Vancouver but worth the 5 hours travelling. It is a beautiful, beautiful place, so chilled and so much surfing! We were lucky enough to stay right on the beach, it was heavenly.
Finally, Canmore was our favourite mountainous town, placed literally at the bottom of the rockies in a valley, you could walk down the town's main street with views of mountains at both ends of the road. Also if you ever visit, I thoroughly recommend a swim in Quarry Lake, just above the town, a shallow lake which is gloriously warm. Or a visit to 'Lake Minnewanka' (yes, for real), it is just divine and also the name is hilarious!

Hello, I'm Ella - a full time history student with a little too much time on my hands, instead of whiling away the hours with a good season on Netflix, I have decided to pour my thoughts and experiences into a blog, so here we are. If you are a lover of film, food, fashion and travel then I would love you to stick around and (hopefully) enjoy my ramblings. I am not sure what to expect, but I am curious and excited....
